It is only 3 days since Torbay Aerials were called in to install streaming internet to some local pubs and hotels. They were caught very unaware and there were a lot of issues. Luckily we were able to find solutions very quickly because we have a lot of experience of networking.
This morning akamai announced that they are building a HD streaming network which will enable the delivery of HD content to the masses. These are the people that currently enable all the big companies to host all their big files without overloading their servers. They do this by having a server in or close to your internet provider which copies the files closer to you so that you don't have to go direct to the company itself. In effect it is a 'Buffer' service.

Introducing Torbay Aerials
Formed by Two Tv enthusiasts, Torbay Aerials started in July 2009 with the aim of providing quality Aerial Installation to Torquay, Paignton, Brixham - Torbay and South Devon; Moretonhampstead, Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot, Exeter, Sidmouth, Honiton.
With over 15 years installation experience, our engineers were certain they could find a market especially with the rolling Digital Switchover. Our understanding of the transmission system, local polarised transmitters and digital Muxes is second to none.
Coming from the English Riviera Digital TV is now fully switched over and we have learned from that. It is our intention to take our fleet of engineers around the country to help with the switchover.
We have worked on communal distribution systems, Satellite Installations, Digital Terrestrial and ipTV solutions for the last two months on various projects in Torquay. Our knowledge of home audio visual systems is vast and we are always looking at the latest technology.
